As the year draws to a close, looks like this will be one of the last swaps (not counting Bees) to come and go in 2011. It's been a busy year and I certainly had great fun creating all kids sewing creations. This last is the Sew happy Geek Table Runner/ Wall hanging swap- Again a secret swap, international to boot.
I won't say where in the word my partner is but she's not a neighbor. Here is what made for her based on her preferences: either a table runner or a wall hanging, and 3 fav colors (for this swap) red, teal and beige…..

Pattern: 1/2 square triangles, chevron pattern Various quilting cottons: Tans: Kona sand (I think) and Moda quilters' linen; Reds: Kona red, DS and Joel Dewberry; Teals: Kona lagoon and turquoise, and DS.

The back and the binding are solid Quilters linen. I was charmed to find a similar layout of 1/2 square triangles amongst my partners likes and her having it made me smile. Ever since the Love of Solids swap and Always Bee Learning, these 1/2 square triangle variations are showing up everywhere. I thought I'd give them a whirl again just before the holidays. Cheers everyone!!!
So pretty! I am sure your partner will LOVE it! I wanted to join this swap, but alas, I do know my limits, and no more swaps for me until next year!
ReplyDeleteIt looks beautiful! That red/teal combo always looks so nice. I bet she will love it :)
ReplyDeleteLove how this turned out, and I'm sure your partner will too
