Sigh. Anyway, I love your bag - blue has always been my fav color, and you've made it shine with the piecework and fun buttons! I'm a new follower here!

I think the placce I was in awe of most in my limited travels was South Dakota especilly the area around Hill CityMt Rushmore and Crazy Horse were incredable. Needles highway was amazing how they ever made it was beyond me the wild animals roaming loose in the parks and walking right up to your motorcycle and stopping traffic. It was breath taking!
ReplyDeleteYour bag is just perfect, I especilly like all the pockets! Thanks for a chance to win!
Unfortunately, we don't get to travel much yet, we just can't afford to. But we do travel from NJ to VA about twice a year (and ALWAYS at Christmastime) to see my husband's family, and I am always sad to leave - the Charlottesville area has sure made an impression on me!

ReplyDeleteI think one of the places most special to me is Callaway Gardens. 13 years ago, my not-quite boyfriend had to evacuate from his apartment in St. Pete because of an approaching hurricane. We just sorta got in the car and wound up driving to Georgia because he remembered this cool place he went as a kid. Wound up staying over there two days and it started our relationship. 13 years later, it's our anniversary and very special to us both.

I love printed piping. It's so dramatic!
ReplyDeleteI think the most memorable place was Goliad, Texas, at the Presidio La Bahía. Just before the Battle of the Alamo, Texas forces were slaughtered there. One of my favorite books is Promised Lands, by Elizabeth Crook. This is where the Texians were held, and many spent their last days in the chapel there. Ms Crook's descriptions were so realistic. The chapel is still an active church, and standing there, and in the courtyard, you could feel the presence of those brave men. It sticks with me now.
Beautiful bag! I just finished a trip to the Galapagos Islands. It was fascinating to be in a place of such historical and natural significance.

ReplyDeletei don't travel a lot, and when i do, it's uaually home to the prairies or south to portland, both of which i ADORE. however, many years ago i went to a camp on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, in Canada, and it's stuck with me ever since. I was on the beach, and the winds were about 70mph, and it was incredible. i've often said that it was the most religious experience of my life, despite growing up with weekly catechism classes and a religious family.
Beautiful bag. I believe it'll be so suitable for a walk in a beautiful city, enjoying the richness of its culture, just like Kyoto-Japan or Yogya-Indonesia.
ReplyDelete
