This is what I made with some fabric that I received
The dotted blue and green fabric is from the STASHTACULAR event. I added the solids and the trees from my stash. |
The sides and back are in left over linen. |
It's a great bag for embroidery and keeping all those little hoops corralled. I typically store my scissors and thread in the little pocket. I added the extra hoops so you could see how many fit into the interior.
In addition, I decided I'd try a circle bag without the extra width (I will confess that the zipper instillation was a bit tricky).
So I went back to my STASHTACULAR scraps received and came up with this…
The teal squiggle fabric was received in the STASHTACULAR. I added the other fabric and the linen. (front) |
The white with green and blue "boomerangs" was received in the STASHTACULAR (back) |
The interior is one of the DS fabrics from Joann's . This fits a larger hoop than the other circle bag. If you look closely, there are 2 hoops in this bag, and you could easily put more if you put them inside one another.
So, dear STASHTACULAR participants- I really couldn't have made this without you. THANKS!!!! the fabric was great and it really inspired me.
Everyone- Stay tuned ….. later this week- a give away (August 24) and a tutorial (August 29th)!!
Love the round pouch...perhaps a tutorial for it? Great use of scraps!

ReplyDeleteThose are all super cute! Would like to try a circle bag some day. Right now I would probably cry a river trying to instal the zipper tho :)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the tutorial... I have a friend who loves to embroider...This bag would be wonderful as a special Christmas present...
